How are packers and movers shifting charges calculated?
Charges are based on the total distance of the move, the quantity and weight of goods (which sets the vehicle size), the packing quality you choose (economic, standard or premium), the floor level of both homes, and whether a lift is available. Add-ons like car or bike transport and storage are priced separately.
How can I reduce my house shifting cost?
Declutter and sell or donate items you no longer need, choose economic packing for sturdy goods, schedule your move mid-week or mid-month (avoiding peak weekends), pack your own clothes and books, and get a firm written quote after a survey so there are no surprises.
Are GST and tolls included in the estimate?
The calculator estimate covers core services — packing material, loading/unloading labour and transport. Applicable GST and actual highway tolls or parking fees are added on top and shown clearly in your final written quote.
Do you charge extra if there is no lift in the building?
If there's no lift and goods must be carried up or down floors, a small handling charge (typically around ₹300 per floor per worker) applies for the extra labour. It's always shown upfront in the quote, never sprung on you on moving day.
